It cuts both ways

Um, ow. I guess Molly got her comeuppance. We watched her closely for a few hours because she was being unusually clingy. She seems okay, and the swelling has gone down quite a bit.

And yes, it is still so dry here that even the cats have dandruff, in spite of us getting 1.63 inches of rain yesterday.
